Communications alum,
Adrienne Johns ('70) was on campus 10/5 to speak the Advanced Sales
Communication class and the Retail Entrepreneurship class. Adrienne, previously VP of Old Navy, Gap, and
Banana Republic, is currently starting a company called EcoWrap
("green" wrapping paper) while in retirement. Additionally, she
teaches MBA classes at DePaul and is on the board for the National Parks
Foundation.
Retailing alum, Joan (Cummings) Cortese ('81) , Director of
Product Development for the Hush Puppies SoftStyle line, is on campus 10/8 to
speak to the International Buying and Product Development class on "The
Cultural Environment of International Business".
RET alum Kristin Spencer ('08) was recently on campus as
part of True Value Company's MSU recruiting team to address the Retail Buying
and Planning class about how the role of the buyer and planner has changed and
how students interested in those career areas should prepare for success.
